Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my horn doesn't work when I press it to honk at someone but when I lock the car it sounds. I have a 2008 Dodge Charger. 2.7 engine. Its beyond frustrating when you can't honk at someone if they are backing into you or when they cut you off. HELP

hi , it sounds like either fuse or your horn going bad , as of the sound when you luck your car , that is coming from the alarm system , not same speaker as horn .

It's not my fuse, I replaced all of them. And I don't have an alarm system... it'll work once in a blue moon like every 4 months for just for a few honks.

Honking at someone that cuts you off is a big waste of time and electricity.

2013 dodge charger only works when it wants to. The only way i know it starts working is when i lock it, the horn goes off. where exactly is the fuse box and will it say horn by the fuse?

I have the same problem with my 2008 Dodge Charger. my horn doesn't work, yet when I lock it does. Yes, Bob maybe it does no good to blow it when someone cuts you off. but I do need it to work in order for it to pass inspection here in Virginia. I am taking it to the dodge dealer tomorrow for the Airbag recall. I know they are going to ask me about doing my inspection. I am going to tell them no because they will fail it because the horn is not working. Know if they want to fix it it will cost too much. Hoping I can figure it out myself, or get some help. I am pretty sure it's not a fuse. Was told it might be in the steering wheel. Wonder if it has something to do with the Airbag recall? guess I'll find out tomorrow?
