you can do it through the dealer, but they just go to a bank, so no- the banks or credit unions are the only ones who will loan money- and they will not loan to people with bad credit- if you find someone who will float you a loan on a used car, with bad credit and not going to a bank- you are dealing with a crook-

There are loan companies that the dealers work with for people who have bad credit like you. But you will pay 2 or 3 times the interest rate of someone who has good credit. In they eyes, your a big risk! Let's face it, you are. However here's a good chance to start to repair your credit. If you can get the loan be regular with your payments. If the payment is due on the 15th put it in the mailbox by the 10th. Read the fine print. The late fees are high and complicated. Good luck. Oh one last thing. Be sure you can afford the payment. You don't want to have to move into moms basement.
