Anybody wish they had bought the CX 9 insted of the 7?

Question type: General

I am currently going back and forth between the 7 & the 9.  I like the size of the CX9, but not sure I need the extra space.  The 3rd row seat is a negative, will never need it, but the extra space in the back is closer to the Murano I currently drive, but will be getting rid of.

This is a very personal decision, I have not heard from anyone regrets about either vehicle, the biggest issue is what you plan to use it for and how many kids/pets/loaded trips you take that would warrant the extra size.

the 9 is nice because of the V-6 (3.7, i belive) but if you don't need the third row of seats, then get a Ford Edge, it is the CX-7 body with the CX-9 powerplant. alomost the same thing.

Drive both - the 7 is plenty peppy with the MZR Turbo. The 7 has the same transmission as the 9 (a very smart and capable unit). Mazda is begging people to purchase either, so you can't really go wrong. I say save your money and get the 7, or use it to step up from "Touring" to "Grand Touring" trims. Cheers!
