2008 Toyota Sienna with Heat problems

Asked by Jan 18, 2017 at 09:49 AM about the 2008 Toyota Sienna XLE Limited AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought a 2008 Sienna a few months ago and has been a nightmare
since. This is my 3rd Sienna and never had all these problems. The first
issue was the water pump leaked so we had that fixed. Then the motor was
overheating and we didn't have heat in the car. Dealership changed
radiator and thermostat. Then it was leaking again, trans was sluggish and
still no heat. The dealership didn't tighten the bopttem transmission line on
radiator,  I think now all leaks have been fixed but we still have no heat.
The heated seats work just blows cool air out of vetns. Any suggestions?

Check to see if the coolant level is topped off. Might be something with the HVAC system and or blend door. I'd have a local mechanic check it out. the dealer is probably charging you too much and only fixing one thing at a time causing more issues making you keep coming back.

Thanks! I will check the coolant. The local mechanic wasn't sure what the problem was so I went to the dealer. I am hoping someone else had run into the same problem and had a solution.
