Sienna Air Conditioning Question

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a really strange AC question that I can't find an answer to ANYWHERE.
If you could answer it, that would be awesome. I have an 08 Sienna that had
no AC so I replaced the compressor, condenser, and desiccant pack and had
the system professionally evacuated and charged. It worked for about a week
and died again. The gauges don’t show a leak or a clog. The weird part is that
when the compressor kicks on the low side doesn’t drop below 50-60 psi. The
high side doesn’t go over 140-150. On average the high sits around 135 and
the low is 75. This is on an 85 degree day in Texas. Mechanic thinks the new
compressor went bad. The only thing I didn’t do was empty the oil out of the
compressor and measure in the correct amount. Do you think I had too much
oil and killed the new compressor? Do the gauges reflect a bad compressor?
How can I avoid this in the future? Any help you can offer would be amazing.
Thanks.
