recently my overhead lights went out and then shortly after that when I turned on my headlights, all of my guage lights went out including my fuel economy/trip meter. When I turn my head lights off, all of my dash lights come on  with the exception of my overhead lights which wo'nt come on at all

Does anyone have alturnitive answer to this somewhat of a same problem same car head lights come on dash lights go out then vise vers also when i push start button and car starts and check it the same problem plus car wont shut off ?? Any input would greatly be appreciate
