I have lead in the oil of my 2008 Ford Edge

I have 93,000 miles and my mechanic said there is lead in the oil.  Is that
uncommon?

I think you should go back to your mechanic and verify what your saying, if he insists you have lead in your oil I would look for a new garage, that makes zero sense.

Years ago when cars used Babbitt bearings in the crank it would indicate impending crank failure. You need a new mechanic.
