My 2008 Malibu won't start. The lights come on
and you can hear it click but then nothing

Check the battery voltage with the engine off. It must be over 12Volts. If it's under 12V, you need to charge it or purchase a new one if it's over 5 years old.

Sounds like a dead battery. Should have the battery and charging system checked. First you could try to clean the battery connections and make sure they are tight.

Sure sounds like a battery, I would try to charge it first. If you get it started go to Auto Zone if you have one near and have them test the battery and alternator...
