How to repair my instrument cluster?

Asked by GuruTWCB Apr 02, 2017 at 04:13 PM about the 2008 Pontiac G6 GT Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had to get some work on my 2008 pontiac g6 gt due to my airbag light for
the drivers side staying on. The instrument cluster was removed to take a
look at the inside of the dash and which caused my gauges to fall off. We
then proceeded to put everything back together and start the car up. Once
we did this I noticed that my speedometer, temp, and gas gauges would
not work nor does my mileage reader show anything. The gauges act like
they want to move but they are stuck. Is there an easy fix for this or do I
have to purchase another instrument cluster? and if so would one from
another pontiac vehicle work?

Don't assume there bad when you probably have just a bad connection ... I know that when you remove a dash ,,,sometimes you do a lot of wrestling with it ... odds are something came off when you reassembled it I thought your car has digital displys

the mileage is digital but the gauges are not amd thank you I will go check around to see if anything fell off that we did not see

Power steering keeps coming across the dashboard and stiffens up and all of the cluster keeps going dead
