If check engine light is on, you may want to have the error codes read. If no check engine light my first guess would be a bad Vehicle speed sensor. Or VSS. Most Common Symptoms of a Faulty Engine Speed Sensor A faulty vehicle speed sensor can cause an array of problems. In fact, symptoms of a faulty speed sensor may also result in symptoms of other common components such as a defective coil pack or bad throttle position sensor. However, here is a list of the most common symptoms associated with a bad engine speed sensor: Transmission revs higher before it changes gears The car's transmission engages into overdrive late and sometimes will never go into that top gear Brakes are sometimes harder than normal when coasting Speedometer behaves erratically or sometimes does not work at all The check engine light comes on intermittently and sporadically when accelerating The overdrive on/off light blinks on and on for no apparent reason

Note I have a nissan rogue 2010 which had no acceleration problem when coming to stop light and trying to go had no power. When i got home the vehicle would start and stop right away. I suspected fuel pump so checked fuses and reseated all fuses on the ipdm board located just above the fuse box. Now the vehicle run 100 % like it should and the remote starter now works great hope this helps someone since the mechanic had told me it was the cvt transmission, not so at all, and happy driving.
