i have a 2008 chevy cobalt. the ac works great but no heat

the ac works great nice and cold but when I switch it to heat it still blows cold. it is not switching to heat. please help it is getting cold and with Christmas around the corner I need a low cost fix

Check your coolant level. If its low enough you won't get heat. Also check the thermostat. If its stuck wide open the car may not be getting hot enough to generate heat.
