Car won't start

I just purchased a 2008 Audi A4 the car
want start. I changed the fuel sensor
because the computer said it was either that
or a the fuel pump. It's sounds like it wants
to start but it doesn't. When I turn the key
over it continues to make a noise like it
wants to start but it doesn't. It just makes
the sound over and over but still doesn't
start. I can smell fuel when I turn the key
over and the hood is up. It was making a
weird clicking noise before it completely
shut down. Do you have any suggestions
before I take it to a shop. Trying to save
money by fixing it myself..
