2008 EGR Valve

Asked by Tom Jul 01, 2012 at 12:15 PM about the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country Touring FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Got a replacement EGR valve after getting error code.  After a week of running with no issue, all of a
sudden it sounded like an exhaust leak and the smell of engine exhaust came from the engine
compartment.  Since the installation of the EGR valve was simple, 4 bolts with the proper gaskets, i'm
wondering if this EGR valve is bad.

Never replace the EGR with a cheap knockoff, always go with OEM, the cheap ones will always fail.
