I HAVE A 2008 TOYOTA CAMRY AND THE SEATBELT CHIME CONTINUALLY RINGS EVEN THOUGH I AM WEARING MY SEATBELT HOW CAN I TURN IT OFF?
Run it by the Toyota dealership and they will simply reset the ECM (usually a software update) that will reset the warning chime to only sound when the belt is not buckled and the car is moving. Best of luck! (PS There is no way to disable this warning per DOT rules/regulations).
EXCEPT THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME TO SO. THERE IS A WAY TO STOP IT IM SURE BUT THANKS ANYWAY
Good luck trying to disable it. It is multi-linked with the Air Bag system, and tampering with it, you will risk that system failing as well. Either live with the chime, or pay the $90 to have it fixed.
If she's SURE there's a way, why is she asking questions here. Sounds like she has NO IDEA what she's talking about. I look forward to seeing her post on how she fouled up the Air Bag and Seat Belt sensors. Some people LOL
Check on line for a auto parts store near you for a Free Scan of your vehicle computers. There might be a code stored to explain why this system is malfunctioning. Wright down the code I'd and description. Get back to us with results.
