2008 chevy HHR P0016 code what are my options to clear this code ?

2008 chevy hhr just recently bought the check engine like was not working and still doesn't. so when i bought it from the dealer i thought everything was ok well i took apart instrument cluster and found the led had burned out so new cluster needs ordered. well i went to get my echeck and they failed me for p0016 code my hhr runs good just sometimes doesn't want to start at first initial start second time it starts up no problem what do i need to do to clear this code? included is a picture of the engine i dont understand why it a vvt when they didnt make for the 2.2 in 08 much help and thx hopefully i can fix it easily!

Crank shaft Sensor code: I would Replace The Crank sensor and the cam sensor. Then reset the ECM.

also i left out its has 98k do you know what would be causing it to not start up and sputter but then start after initial start thx for the quick response ill get those monday and let u know the outcome

That is Typical of a failing crank sensor or cam sensor both sensors tell the computer the engines turning over And when to fire the sparkplugs
