What type of gas is required?

READ your owners manual or look on the inside of your gas cap door! The 3.6 liter is a DI (Direct Injection) engine, therefore, I use 91 Shell V power in my daughters '11 ... if need be ECU will compensate.

87 octane is the required fuel for that motor (as indicated in the owners manual). Don't bother to use a higher octane than recommended, you'll just be wasting your money. It is important to use "top tier" fuel, although some labeled as such really isn't. If you use Chevron, Shell or similar, you'll be fine.
