Everytime I Put my key in the ignition to a 2008 Rabbit 2.5 the Alarm/honk goes off

Asked by Kmengel93 Mar 01, 2014 at 06:23 PM about the 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit 2-Door

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Everytime I Put my key in the ignition to a 2008 Rabbit 2.5 the Alarm/honk goes off and the Car will not turn over.

I had the battery tested and its fine. If we jump the car the car works.

We are thinking its an alarm problem and we were wondering how to disable the factory rabbit alarm

Try manually locking and unlocking the drivers door with key then try to start. Some vehicles this resets the alarms. Have you checked your owners manual?
