My 2008 Subaru Legacy Outback just had recalls done, inspected, and had a minimally leaky head gasket. Was about to sell it when suddenly smoke came out under the hood at start up and I had it towed.

Asked by GuruVXWPC Aug 15, 2018 at 04:21 PM about the 2008 Subaru Outback 2.5 XT Limited

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Mechanic says the engine is no good now. Antifreeze and oil were leading out
during their inspection of the problem. 250,000 miles on it. Is it worth keeping
and getting a rebuilt engine put in?

1 Answer

Mechanic says sell it for parts or get someone to pay $100 who wants to fix it themselves. How do you sell a car for parts?
