Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 subaru outback turbo.  I recently started my car and the check
engine light along with the vehicle dynamics indicator light came on, the cruise
indicator light started flashing, and the #S indicator on the dash started
blinking as well.  Any idea as to what this means for my car?

Simply that an "emissions-related event" has occurred. Because you will probably get MANY of these in the future it's prudent to just spend $40 on a small scanner and read the OBD2 code yourself each time. I must warn you that the 2005+ Subie 2.5t iterations were among their least durable ever. So good luck....
