Get some backing soda and very carefully pour it on to the affected area. Do not get it in the battery as it will destroy your battery. it will bubble and hiss some but it will eat the excess battery acid. also use a catch pan and try to catch the excess liquid from touching your wiring. In other words be slow careful and cautious. But it will work !
