i have a 2008 Ford Fusion and was wanting to ask a ?

We recently hit a dog in our car and tore up the bumper and the radiater and they also had to replace the air conditioner condensor and all the support system for the radiator and all, well my ? is when we were driving it home the check engine light came on and it started registering hot when we got it home all the way the fan did not come on as well and the heater blows cold air! was just wondering what could be the problem? My husband is thinking maybe the thermostat or they didnt hook somethuing up right but we are baffled! would really appreciate any advice thank and God Bless

How's the doggie? Multiple issues going on, they had everything apart and it is about impossible to diagnose here. They didn't put it back together right, its no coincidence it overheated on the way home. My best suggestion is take it back where you had the work done and you may have to be not so nice...demand they fix it

Did they put coolant in it? Is there liquid in the reservoir? Check that first before starting the engine again

You did not smell a cooked goose when the engine was starting to cook, but kept drivin'? These things don't go too long in the HOT zone. Suprised that it started up again. Apparently your 'tore up' radiator was not tended to properly- Get yourself something that holds pressure!
