Engine swap

Asked by GuruLCFQY Apr 06, 2019 at 03:15 PM about the 2008 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Special Edition AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 2008 subaru legacy with a 2.5l specail
editon with a turbo. I recently replaced the oil
pressure sensor on the driver side and put a little
to much pressure and now theres a vertical crack
going down the side of it. Now im thinking I should
replace the engine. What are the requirements to
swapping out an engine, what can and can't i put
in?

Ive seen this. The over tightening of an OCV. Jb weld will be your best friend. Or you could have the head replaced. Just remember if you do the head replacement yourself, drivers is the Left and Passenger side is Right side Head. Good luck.
