what causes a car to crank and run but when it gets hot it kills

I was having the same problem...we changed the thermostat,starter and alternator. We even took the car to the dealership, they said it was the starter. We finally took the car to an auto electrical shop. It was the body control module (bcm). We have not had anymore problems. That was about a year ago.
