2008 Mitsubishi spyder convertible top reset
The top was down when auto part store replaced the battery on my 2008 Spyder GS.
Now the top doesn't close. The open and close buttons and lights work as usual and the
fuse is intact. How can I reset the mechanism?
This worked: turned ignition key to ON position (not all the way to start engine, just to where radio can be turned on). Turned back off. Ignition back to On. Raised the windows. Turned ignition back to off. Turned key all the way to ignition and started engine. Pushed the Close button and the top functioned as expected. Saved a trip to the shop.

I have a 2007 Eclipse GT convertible and the battery went dead while in the garage over the winter. I charged the battery but could not get the top to go back up. I found your solution and tried it today, it WORKED, thank you so much, the dealer wanted $135 just to look at it.
I have a 2008 eclipse spyder and I can't get the top to open. I tried what you said in your post but it didn't work. when I hit the close button I got 3 beeping sound. is there something else I can try

My 2008 mitsubishi eclipse spyder and it looks like my top is down from the outside but when I look inside I can see the outside, I used the buttons and all I heard was the three beeps and I tried the reset method and it didn't work, Is there a sensor that tells it when to move? if so where is it located at?
The reset worked for my '08 Spyder GS: Cloth top was down but (tonneau?) / hard cover portion was stuck open. I cycled the ignition and everything works! Thank you! i dont have an answer more of a question can you put a spotlight by the fog lights right in that space if so how would you do it?

I just got my Eclipse Spyder and right on I need some help finding me some pillar trim 4 my car. HELP!!!!!
