Why do I not have running nor instrument panel lights?

It was raining one day, and my instrument panel lights started flickering on and off, I
tapped above the panel, and they stayed on. Same story, different night; only this
time, they flickered on and off, only to go out altogether. Apparently all running lights
are out as well (tail,and amber front) but brake, turn, head, and fog lights still operate
fine. Very dangerous, and not to mention illegal, for night driving. My question is this: I
figure its my headlight/combination switch, but at $150, can i fix the switch, or does it
HAVE to be replaced?

I do not think the problem is in the stalk. Change your taillight fuse-no matter if it looks good or nor. In the cabin fuse box behind the flip-down coin holder is fuse # 18.--15 amp in the very top left. I can't find an image of the fuse box, but it's in your owners manual.
