Why would the thermostat continue to go bad in the lucerne

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My engine light has started coming on. I took it to have it checked and according
to the people it tested out as possible sensor or thermostat. I just had a new
thermostat installed approx 7 months ago. What would cause this problem?
