Humming noises when car speeds up

a good place to start could be your belts, if they are worn or off a little. Also, sometimes from wet pavement coming up off pavement onto the belt could cause the sound. Yuur timing belt could be off as well. Be safe and have the belts checked out.

Could be lots of things from the speedo cable to a loose belt ... one thing it isn't is the "timing belt" because there's no mistaking when that happens. ( popping bang, clang and in some cases bent valves or totaled engine) sorry Brittina

The humming noise is more than likely coming from a front wheel bearing. As the rotation of the wheel goes faster so does the humming noise. Have the front wheel bearings and front CV joints checked.

Tire noise is also a possibility. Tires typically get noisier as they wear.

wheel bearing noise can be a grinding or clicking noise ,can also be a hum or howl which will become louder as speed increases and the bearing heats up. noise may change when you are in turn.

New tires, new wheel bearings. The belts can make that noise? Doesn’t do it while in park and rev the engine. Cv joints? Can they be greased or do you just palace them? All the boots are in great shape.
