At speeds over 65 the car begins to shake a little. And when going about 50 mph and press the brakes to come to a stop there is erratic shaking on the front end. What causes this?

Car shaking at speeds is a tire/wheel balance issue. Shaking while braking is a brake rotor issue. The rotors are most likely warped.
