Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 08 Pontiac Grand Prix it starts perfectly
fine most days. But sometimes it won't start unless
I hold the gas pedal to the floor. Anyone knows
what this means? I havent had any problems with
my car and the only light on In the dash is the
engine light which has been on since I bought it. I'm
lost on what it could be.

With the check engine on there is code locked in the computer, you should have the code pulled. I would check your fuel pump pressure and your fuel pump regulator
