Passenger side wheel bearing

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok so a few months ago I got an oil
change and tire rotation on my 08 grand
prix. Went out for a few hours and on my
way home I was following the road to the
right and my steering wheel started
shaking and I heard a grinding noise on
my passenger side. Took my car back to
the shop and they rotated my tires again.
Didn't help at all. It used to only shake
and make the grinding noise going right
at 60 mph. Now it does it at 45 to 85mph.
Does that sound like a wheel bearing or
something else?! Please help!!!

It's not real loud. It's more like a thud and grinding. But only when I moved steering wheel to the right. What happens when a wheel bearing starts going bad?

it could be a lot of things maybe a CV joint, Tie rod ends, i think you need to go have a alignment shop have a look at it

The wheel bearing will make noise and you make get min. shaking from it as time goes on it will get worse and worse and if not checked of replaced the can lock-up. This sounds like it could me more then just the wheel bearing. How long has it been making the grinding noise?

Sounds like a front CV joint in one of your front axle shafts. I've had lots of them go and those are fairly typical symptoms. Wheel hubs/bearings typically make a low pitched droning sound. Sounds like that axle may be fairly close to failure so I wouldn't wait too much longer getting it changed.
