I have a 2007 Sprinter Van that has 167,000 miles... Noise in front end!

Asked by migration_rsblack4 Oct 04, 2013 at 12:15 PM about the 2007 Dodge Sprinter Cargo 3500 170 WB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 Sprinter Van that has 167,000 miles on it. It has developed a thud, knock,
or whatever were calling and abnormal noise these days, on the drivers side front. I had
my local tech check it out. His recommendation was to start with the basics and replace
the worn out ball joints, as well as a new pair of struts. We did this, and I still have the
clunk! Could it have been in the upper strut mount? What am I missing? Thank You in
advance!

Wheel bearing, CV Axle, upper strut mount, or tie rods. That all i could think of off the top of my head, hope it helps!

I had the same thing happened to my van and it turned out to be my struts. Installed new struts sound was gone.
