1990 Acura Legend Manual - Vibration a month after a clutch replacement @ 225k

Asked by Jun 25, 2017 at 02:56 AM about the 1990 Acura Legend L Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1990 Legend Coupe Manual had it's original clutch replaced at around 225k miles.  About a month after that, I have this strange vibration and noise. The vibration can be felt thru the gear shifter and is more pronounced when the shifter is pulled toward the left. It is an audiable periodic sound, that increases loudest when the clutch is engaged and accelerating.  I have run the car with the engine off (a short time just to verify if it was coming from the engine) and the vibration is still noticeable.
Without inspection, a few mechanics tells me it's the transmission - I'm thinking the mechanic that did the clutch replacement didn't do something right.  What could it be?
