Electrical problem

Asked by Dwiggins Mar 26, 2012 at 04:01 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LTZ Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The lights flicker when braking, cruse turns off when using blinker.Turn on high beam lights and transmission down
shifts from 6th to 2nd gear. All gauges lose power. This last a short time then returns to normal. When cranking
there is no power. A clicking noise is heard in both door panels. Horn will only click when used  then after a few tries
it will sound and all power is returned. These problems come and go. Had BCM updated with no results. What can I
do to find the problem.

I just bought a used truck with same issue and will return it unless there is a simple fix. Anyone have any solutions?

Have a 03 chevy Silverado 2500HD reduced power comes on the dash replaced the throttle body and all sensors, it went away for always but now it came back on after a few weeks go to start it and it goes right into reduced powers saying low coolant but I have coolant. Then when I turn my high beams on the whole truck shuts down I honestly have no idea what the hell it is

Start truck, no gauges are working, drive a mile or so, everything comes on. At times the 4 wheel drive will be in the neural position, will not slow you too switch
