my pasenger wiper just stopped working but my drivers side works fine

Both wipers work off same motor. Rod from motor to passenger side wiper might have come loose. Or wiper might not be fully clipped down on end of rod.

You can look down thru the plastic grill between the wipers and see the motor and connecting rods work.

My 07 dodge ram did the same thing. Pull the plastic cowl cover off to access the wiper system. The passenger side is controlled by a rod with plastic ends. The socket on mine was enlarged to the point that it would not stay on. I pulled the whole assembly out and drilled a small hole through the ball and plastic end and put a screw with washers and a nut on the bottom. That was 2 years ago and haven't had any problem since.

My 07' 2500 Dodge Ram had the same thing happen recently. Following Eugene suggestion I pulled off the plastic cowl hood (not as easy as it sounds). The socket wouldn't stay on the ball. However I did not pull off the whole assembly. Didn't think it was necessary or want to do that much work. Instead I took a Stainless Steel Screw Hook - 1/4" x 3-1/2" screw hook and pried the hook apart enough to slip it around the rubber grommet between the ball and used a vice grip to pinch it close enough to secure it from falling off the ball, but not so tight that it would crush the grommet or prevent the screw hook from moving easily.as the arm rotates. I then placed 3 each 7/8" hose clamps over the rod and securing the shank of the screw hook with the 3 hose clamps to the top of the rod that goes over the ball. Imagine a splint marrying the hook shank to the rod. Sorry should have taken photo before putting the cowl back on. But was so happy it worked I wanted to get it done before dark and without any drilling or pulling the whole assembly. Should have used stainless steel clamps and screw hook but didn't have any. Don't know yet how long this set up will last but it's a whole lot cheaper and easier than the alternatives. As an aside, I'm no engineer but I find some of these car parts to be so poorly engineered I think its intentional. To make someone buy a whole wiper assembly for $300+ to replace a failed rod is a rip off.

Fixed it in about an hour removed the plastic cowel took a 3ln carter pin raped it around the post snug slipped the arm over the post clamped the carter pin to the arm with hose clamps Works just fine

The plastic bushing is worn and the arm drops. A thin wrench larger than the ball but smaller than the hanging ball's support will keep the arm raised and in place, You don't want it snug as it has to have a small bit of play when the arm swings. the wrench i used came with an old weed eater. I pretty much copied Guru's design with what i had in the shop. I put some good pressure on this, i am pretty confident it will last the life of of my 2006

My 04 Dodge Ram just had the same thing happen. This is a DIY job. There are several videos online that will show you how to take off the shroud to access the wiper motor. I had to remove two Phillips screws and 5 push pins. I used zap straps to hold the wiper arm on the nipple. I didn't really see any pinch points so I am confident this will last for awhile. If it fails oh well it's an easy job and I'll come up with a better solution next time. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread.
