The Camshaft Position Sensor is an electronic device used in an engine to record the rate at which the camshaft is spinning. This information is used by the Engine Control Module(ECM) to control ignition and fuel injection. Read more: http://engine- codes.com/p0340_saturn.html#ixzz2aOOUXMi2

Yes.crank sensor would keep fuel pump from coming on while cranking,pcm would not ground fuel injectors while cranking.hope this helps
