My gas light/level isnt working in my 2002 acura tl type s

I just put gas in my car and now the fuel level is reading
below the empty mark with gas light on, ive had my car for
almost 2 years now and its never done this. Just to be
100% i went and put gas and it stayed the same. Whats the
problem and what should i do? Thanks guys for taking the
