Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had a vibration a year back and it was diagnosed that the left front bearing needed to be changed and was done. Then when I had new tires installed and alignment check was done, this vibration has started again after the alignment check. This happens when I am braking at 55-60 mph and then goes away after the speed is lower than 55 mph. Any idea what it could be ?

Possibly you have warped brake rotors/ disc’s. You can get the brakes checked and a reliable mechanic should be able to true / or lathe the rotors smooth. Replacement of your rotors will be necessary if the old rotors are worn below the factory specific measurements. I have experienced this same issue in the past. One word of advice that was given to me, once you remedy the issue, do not spray cold water on your wheels (washing your car) when the brakes are really hot, just after driving the vehicle, the rotors will warp again really fast. Good luck!
