I am deciding between buying a Nissan 350Z or a Mazda RX8, which is better in terms of gas mileage and which will run for longer

Step up and get a 370Z, RX-8 was a great handling car with an awful engine.

The rotary in the 8 gets a bad rap cause most people didn't take care if them properly. But I will admit you have to love rotary and understand it if you have a rx8. If not you'll join the ranks of those who complained
