Why won't my van start after putting on a new batter?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A couple months ago my  2003 Chevy Venture LS van wouldn't start. Lights and sounds
were all there, but engine wouldn't turn over. Pulled battery and had it checked, but it was
dead. I just put a new battery on, but it won't start. No lights, sounds, etc. Dead as a door
nail.

Check all battery connections, battery voltage and main fuses.

Make sure your alternator is working and sending current to the battery to charge it. Also check if there is a draw on the battery after turning off everything. I assume your battery checked out fine and there are no dead cells?
