Push and feel for the spline to line up. Then with a dead blow tap the front axle into the trany until it clicks in. Its just a matter of pushing it into the trany.

I have a question I just bought a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe lx awd the truck runs and everything works the car is parked when I hold the brake and shift it into reverse or drive I can hear a change in the transmission but the car won’t move either forward or backward but when I put the car in park the car makes a grinding noise as if the car were moving and I slammed it in park PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY PROBLEM
