Smoking exhaust & oil is evaporating rapid

Asked by Feb 20, 2017 at 07:31 PM about the 2003 BMW X5 4.4i AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My drivers side exhaust is blowing out white smoke and
my dip stick doesn't show my oil level , and just did an oil
change and tune up 200 miles ago. So , I don't see any
leaks of oil, so why is the oil evaporating and some time
blow out white smoke out of the drivers side exhaust
pipe?

I think the left side head gasket may be leaking.

Unfortunately you will be soon learning why it is not good sometimes to own a used BMW that is out of warranty.

Dunno but on a 2007 a4 the same repair cost $2200 so good luck with dat
