Can't get my shift lever out of park

Asked by c3po7248 Jan 28, 2020 at 04:07 PM about the 2003 Lincoln LS V8 Premium Sport

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I changed my abs control module this morning and
now my shift lever will not leave the park position.
Any help would be appreciated. Btw I checked my
brake lamp fuse and my brake switch that's
located above the brake pedal and both are still
working.

Check your shifting cable where it connects to the transmission. Sometimes the connector gets damaged.
