Could be almost anything. Only way to find out is to plug in a code scanner and see what is wrong

It may need a software update or reboot. The Cayenne has always had delay issues on takeoff and seems to be a safety issue. Start with this link to see if you identify with any of these issues: https://www.google.com/search?q=delay+in+takoff+2008+cayenne&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-Address&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7GGLL_en&gws_rd=ssl#q=+hesitation+issue+acceleration+2008+cayenne+s

you need Sprint Booster Power Converter. https://www.sprintboostersales.com/whyitworks.cfm This is specifically designed to do what you say you want...it noticeably reduces pedal to throttle time and is a $300 self install easy project. I put one in my '08 Cayenne Turbo and it kicks!
