indicator that you have left interior light on before I lock and shut my door?

random question, I just bought this 2008 and left the interior lights on then locked the door
and went inside and saw that the interior lights were still on. Is there supposed to be a sound
indicating that the interior lights are on before I lock and leave my car? I'm going to drain my
battery if I do this again

Yes. And if you leave the key in the ignition dose the warning buzzer come on? If not, then perhaps the previous owner disconnect it.
