I didn't know about the youtube thing. I've described the procedure so many times on this site, one can see them on similar threads.

2003 marquis I replaced the battery and alternator. battery indicator is in the middle. Car starts right up and after driving 30 miles or so something brings the battery down and the car shuts off. front passenger window slow to go up (don't know if that has anything to do with it) Does anyone know what the problem is?

This is strange. Defective Alternator? Measure voltage when running, should be around 14.7 volts, if not, bad alternator. Does the battery go dead when sitting overnight?

Not a defective alternator. New alternator put in March and just in case it was defective just put in a new one. Battery shows full charge and then after you drive it the car stalls out and can't be started again until after 1 hour and then the car starts right back up again until the next time i drive it. Battery doesn't go dead over night only when the car is driven.

Vacuum in your fuel tank? Correct gas cap?. Fuel pump going bad? (measure fuel pressure when it won't start. Does it crank over after it stalls? Is the battery dead when it stalls?, sounds like not, if it cranks over after an hour, with no charging. Changed fuel filter?. Worst possible thing could also be a bad ECU computer for the engine. They can be gotten at a junk yard.

already put in a new fuel filter. when car stalls indicator indicates low battery and will not start back up for about one hour. Car only has 53,000 miles and would like to get to the problem. i thinking about bringing it to a electrical specialist.

I'd replace both fuel pump relays, they're cheap, easy to get, and eleminates a possible problem. They do go bad.

How does the battery recharge? None of this makes any sense to me. I think you will have to call in someone. Is there an air-bag compressor? High power stereo? 60 years experience, and I'm baffled.
