If the engine is turning over and not firing up, you will want to check for fuel and spark first. Remove your fuel cap. Have someone turn the key to accessory, while you put your ear to the gas fill hole. Can you hear the fuel pump hum? If not, make sure your relay is working. If your relay is good, you may have a bad fuel pump. If you can hear the pump humming, you will want to check for a good spark. Post back with findings.

OK. We have to determine whether it's fuel or spark. One way is buy a can of starting fluid, and give it a little bit, about 2 seconds, in to the intake. If it starts and runs for a few seconds you have spark. It's is a fuel problem. Be careful, not too much ether. But you don't hear fuel pump, so that may be what the problem is. But if it does not run with starting fluid, we have a spark problem. Now do you have a V6 or I4 engine? The V6 has a timing belt, the 4 cyl a chain. With no spark, may be cam position sensor, crank pos sensor, coils(s) http://www.clubxterra.org/forums/showthread.php?t=25478 says the coil is built in to distributor. .
