Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can't get the chain tensioner on after changing timing chain sprockets and
guides .chain is too tight. I can pull chain over with a modified c clamp but it
puts a lot of tension on the chain .Is this normal or should try a different brand
or quality chain

It should not be that tight, tentioner should go in place loose and apply pressure to the chain guide when activated. If chain is installed correctly, and sprockets are the correct size, buy a different brand
