Why would all brake lights stop working at the same time on my 2003 Tahoe?

Both right,left and top brake light all stopped working at the same time on my
2003 Chevrolet Tahoe. Already tried changing the fuse. Bulb on right and left
side not burned out because driving lights work just doesn't darken when
brakes applied.

All other rear lights work- cruise control does not though as seen in other questions past.
What was the problem with your brake lights. I have the same problem only on my Tahoe it is only the passenger brake light and the bulb is good the running light is on it just doesn't darken when the brakes are applied to that side?
I have a 2001 tahoe alternator was over charging and blew out the brake light bulbs just got it found out I had no brake lights replace the switch then found all the bulbs were burn. Out replaced them then noticed the dash lights were surging alternater was putting out14 15 volts replaced with new alternator have not had any problems sense
