2004 Tahoe has slapping/rattle sound when I am behind a car truck

I just purchased a used 2004 Tahoe after two weeks of owning it now has slapping/rattle sound when I am behind a car or truck, it is worse when I am behind a diesel

Have you checked under the SUV to see if any splash sheilds are loose or if something is caught up under the vehicle?

yes, we have checked all connections under the vehicle. Just found the back roof rack guide was loose and not clicked to lock. we see. thank you for your answer.
