Stuck in 1st gear

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car was stuck in 1st gear for about 5
minutes yesterday. It started working again
but I'm not sure if this is something I need
to have checked. Any suggestions for
issues? And if it's likely to happen again? I
was only Drive 20mph or so when it
happened and then after a few minutes it
was fine. The gears are a bit jumpy
sometimes but nothing I can't handle.

Need to have it diagnosed with computer, you may have a sticking solenoid
